Marisa Kelly,

MA Integrative Health

Pilates Master Teacher

Background: I pursued my Masters in Integrative Health at CIIS where the study of human flourishing led me to Pilates. For the first time in my life Pilates made exercise fun. Now as a seasoned trainer of Pilates professionals, I lead our Body Kinetics Academy Pilates Mastery Course where I certify new Pilates teachers. I mentor a rotating group of Apprentices and enjoy the in-depth process of transmitting the wisdom of the Pilates work.

Philosophy: I move to feel good, and I teach classes that will invite you to explore your ranges of motion and be inspired by your own body’s capacity for enjoyment and healing through Pilates. The ecstatic spectrum of Pilates has been a gift to my brain and an uplifter to my mood. The ecstatic spectrum of Pilates refers to the more advanced exercises that involve exciting inversions, trapeze work, levitations, and extremely challenging balance routines. This more challenging work has given me self esteem, focus, an interest in expanding my movement vocabulary, and an eagerness to always keep learning which Pilates always seems to be able to satisfy.
